I only live a few miles away from Lyme Regis and often walk out along this coast line. There are simply fossils everywhere, most way too big to pick up, but it really is a fossil hunters paradise.

Well, why would there be massive storm events every x thousand years? Could this have anything to do with sun spot activity affecting the polar regions - those great weather thermostats?
Am reading "The Fossil Hunter "by Shelley Emling. It tells the story of Mary Anning.
Another book "The Heyday of Natural History" is recommended. I appreciate the struggle to reconcile Science and Religion during that time.
