@dell4bq I don't know that "excuse" has anything to do with it. Dumbing down music and making it more commercial often go hand in hand. Don't get me wrong I'm not defending it (I prefer the 70's Scorpions and won't even listen to anything after Animal Magnetism), it just is what it is.

I'm just saying I doubt they changed their music to accomodate some 21 year old that joined this veteran group. More likely they selected him because he fit their vision where Urlich Roth did not.

@demonhoopa that's proibably ture but weak in the sense that it's a convernient excuse. They collectively figure to go in a commercial direction for whatever reason but dumb down the music in the process. In a sense they did well monetarilly so I guess that's the bottom line.
