A Day in the Life of Freeway

Freeway is an amazing puppy that was horribly neglected by his owner. He was left all alone in the backyard and was not allowed to be in the house or a part of the family. He got really bored all alone so he started getting out of his yard to find new friends to play with. Now, mind you he lived in a really bad area. Local police had warned his owner several times that he needed to keep him in his yard or there may come a night that someone may start taking shots at him or he may be hit by a car. One night, that's exactly what happened. Freeway came out of the darkness and charged a Police Officer. The Office had no way to know that Freeway was only trying to play. All he saw was a Pit Bull with cropped ears charging him.

Freeway was shot twice and spent a lot of time in Doggie ICU. He's recovered wonderfully, although he still needs another surgery. Here he is playing with some of his foster brothers and sisters.

He is doing very, very well! He still has some hurdles to overcome, but I honestly didn't think he was going to make it out of Purdue with any quality of life when we got a clear picture of what really happened to him. He was a very lucky boy!
