Wow, you guys have it easy. Its a cunt doing this on a K series trans. You have to align the 2 shafts with slots on the cover of the bell housing, and once you get the cover on bang it around until the countershaft seats properly so the enormous snap ring sits in place properly.

@katroxes no it is not similar. The celica has a shift linkage internally that needs to be dealt with

@UltimateTechGuru yes indeed it will crack if you hammer it like a mad man, light tapping is ok, i have done quite a few this way with no issues. If you have a fiber mallet by all means use it.
