I totally agree! However, with the current law making it legal for corporations to do so, to patent and own life, who or what is there to stop them? You have a certain number of people in the general public who believe that judges, doctors, politicians, etc, are incorruptible and are immune to bribery and such. They then believe that allegations of the said group being bought and influenced by corporations is nonsense and nothing but conspiracy theories. What can be done?! And by who??...

Second, I thought of this question as I finished this part...some food for thought:

If corporations are patenting the breast cancer gene and other human genes will they technically own us one day? or will they try and send us a bill if we develop breast cancer or any other cancer if they have those genes patented?
