If any pubes are showing, you'd need to play this video on a jumbotron to see them. I think someone merely wished they were seeing her pubes.

If I may settle this argument, I asked Blake Edwards, the movie's director, about it. He said that no one noticed her pubes until they saw the dailies the next day. By that time, it would've been too costly to reshoot, what with all the extras, etc., so they decided not to tell Leslie and cross their fingers. He also said i was the first person who ever mentioned it to him.
