New Zealand flag includes the Union jack because most New Zealanders are of British descent & like it that way.

If you do not like it, nobody asked you to live in New Zealand & nobody is keeping you - so why don't you just go somewhere you like better - or back where you came from.

Some Commonwealth countries with Queen as head of State, eg. Jamaica, Canada, don't have Union Flag but have Queen on coins: its just a matter of choice by the countries concerned.

Likewise, how non-English local councils work is up to the country & electors concerned - nothing to do with Britain, England or English.

So what's wrong with English anyway?
