Remember it's a Paul Verhoeven film. Therefore the set is designed to accidentally kill as many people as possible.

This is a great & underated film that just keeps you thinking regarding if Quaid was dreaming or it was real. I've noticed that on the DVD, some sound FX/background noise - present in the original VHS are absent on the DVD; this scene in particular, just as the gates are closing on the main doorway, a faint yell of a voice is heard as Quaid holds on. On the DVD this background audio is gone due to mixing for the 5.1 effects.Nothing bad but it kinda ruins the original feel when you 1st saw it.

I don't know what is a more disturbing sight. - Arnold in drag, or a baby with Arnold's head. @_@

Totally. Between the sound effects of the landing ship and that brief accompanying musical motif....it sends chills up my spine. Goldsmith is one of the few composers that is so brilliant, he moves me to tears.
