And as for the ship being a tomb, you should know that almost NONE of the people who died on the titanic, went down with the ship. nearly ALL died in the water surrounding the ship...

Freaking grave robbers!!!! I lost 2 family members on Titanic and what these people are doing is making me sick. Lets go to the USS Arizona and get artifacts from there. I think people would be pissed but whats the difference?

@tiesthatbind08 I suppose that you have more of a right to have such convictions than I do being that I have no family memebers associated with Titanic. I just dont see why people are so defensive though. In my opinion, it belongs to history now. I think artifacts should be brought up, shared and remembered for all time. Lrook what they do to King tut and thats an actual body, but theres a line between human reverence and human historical reverence.

@GemmaIrishMusic People who died on the Titanic went down with the ship. At least some did, some were trapped in the third class halls, and some decided to stay and accept their death. You should've knew this. What about the Captain??? He went down with the ship.

@GemmaIrishMusic Just now I watched two different documentaries that spoke of the body recovery. Of the 1500+ people who were lost with the Titanic, only 328 were brought out of the water. Give generously that 100 of them could have sunk into the ocean after they died, you are still left with roughly 2/3 of the lost people not accounted for. So if they were not in the water...where were they. Following it to its mathematical certainty they were still on board.
