It's been a while since Canon last introduced the EOS 1000D (Rebel XS), and everyone thought it was dead. Now, around 2 years later, they've introduced the 1100D (Rebel T3) - is it any good?

@callowaymotorcompany Which camera would you say that is better within the same price range?

@flowr96 550D is an excellent choice mate. If you have the extra $200, definitely get the 600D. Or wait it out for the 650D if you want to stay on top longer but any of these cameras have all the features you will want. You will eventually envy the ISO performance and burst rate of higher cameras but never will your 550D shy on image quality. Put some L glass on it eventually and you will take as good photos as any professional if you do your part right.
