  • Hollywood sign head hands feet found : } QC

  • makes me cry so much, brings back great memories!!

  • @Amplei14 Not mimed. Light travels faster than sound, so it's just one of those sience stuff things. 40 year old visual is not in sync with an 40 year old sound wave.

  • Soo good!!

  • @Amplei14 This, I believe is from the Old Grey Whistle Test in 71. By that time, miming/lipsynching wasn't allowed. It's a40 year old video so probably just a little off kilter. Beautiful song.

  • Is this mimed? I really can't decide. Something just doesn't seem right about Albert's solo. Still really awesome though! :L

  • @davens929

He's actually a really good live player both then and now. Check out all the Emmylou Harris videos to see as well as his more recent stuff with his own band. I think the problem was they didn't fit into any category. Rock'n'roll? Rock? Country rock? Ballads? They did it all, but didn't appeal to any one segment. But that first double album was and is the pride of my record collection.

  • Haunting!!!

  • @davens929 Ive still got El Pea!!! Ray Smith will reply to any messages you send him . If ya want his details let me know. Really great to chat to him. Did you notice Chas from Chas and Dave in this band?

  • this is a great song, great band that never got anywhere, sad to say. I bought the Island sampler it was on when it came out El Pea, strange vinyl double sleeve and still play it often.

I wonder if their failure to make it had anything to do with Albert Lee's live playing - not a patch on what he could really do. He certainly went on to be a great session player and released a number of good country-based solo albums with lightning fast playing. Interesting
