This is the last time Lenny Breau was recorded on video. I have become a big fan through Chet and Tommy....:)
He was a genius, he created a whole new approach to guitar..... to this day noone has ever gone down the same road as Lenny and accomplished what he did.....

Thank you to Randy Bachman for all the love you have shown Lenny.... Randy single handedly started a company and made all Lenny's recordings available again to the public....:)

Thanx for listening

Bryan

  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • @oohlalalaohhlala I don't remember the name but its a custom 7 string guitar that he got made in the states.... I think in Maine..... the guitar is like a lute tuning.... the extra string is a high A not a low B.... pure genious

  • RIP

  • is this on any CD? I need it desperately !

  • When Lenny Breau and his parents lived in Schenectady for a short time between Maine and Canada. He was known as Sonny. Or Lone Pine Jr....from his mom and dad's act. He played for my Aunt's 16 Birthday party. His parents rented a flat from my Dad's Aunt and Uncle. My Grandfather owned a record making machine to record a young Sonny when he first purchased a Stratocaster.except in my Father and Aunt's memory. My Dad remembers Sonny picking note for note Chet Atkins Dixie/Yankee Doodle.

  • @dyskover: lenny breau was from winnipeg. manitoba, CANADA. look it up!

  • I mean, what. This is just not possible.

  • @oohlalalaohhlala It is a custom 7 string guitar made by Kirk Sand of Sand Guitars in Laguna Beach, California. Built at The Guitar Shoppe.

  • @oohlalalaohhlala The guitar was built by Californian luthier Kirk Sand, he is also the one who filmed this video.

  • That's the kind of harmonic depth you could throw a rock into and never hear it hit bottom.

  • saw Elizabeth Cotton sing this at Mariposa in 79 or 80...

  • maybe the family should own the rights to the music

  • He spent a lot of time and grew up in Winnipeg Manitoba. I saw him here in the 60's and very early 70's.
