Coming toward the end of the Slow Down London Festival, we are faced with a vital question, as the title implies: Why does When Matter? In the mist of speedocoholism;, it is very important to question ourselves where we actually stand within this wave of time. What is time really? To what extend is time a social and cultural concept, that we find ourselves adapted to? Silke Ackermann (British Museum cultural Historian), Brian Durrans (Cultural Anthropologist), Peter Shepherd-Skaerved (Musician) and Tessa Watt (Director of Slow Down London) are looking at Cultural perspects on pressures of time, the freedom of choice and the bliss of leisure time.
