  • @k4f Well, he makes a living from it. These videos are supposed to be like demos or excerpts from the whole DVD that he's selling. There would be no point in him selling that if he just posted it all to YouTube! But for people that cannot afford or do not want to buy it I think these videos are very helpful and you should be grateful that he's sharing them with us all!

  • @apparentlybrian , no, the problem isn't the teacher's style, and I am saying this because I have personally bought some of his videos and on the contrary I found his style very good, as many other teachers are very half-assed about teaching and they teach the same basic crap over and over. As I said, learn to spell basic chords and understand what is root progressions. Don't blame good teachers if you are below a certain level of understanding, and put your ass in gear a little bit.Case closed.

  • @luigiperso No, the problem IS the teacher's style. He literally races through everything and it's not helpful. The goal is to educate and inform, not show off. I've seen remarkable videos on here that teach highly advanced concepts and while I know his heart is in the right place, the technique needs to be dramatically shifted toward the learner. Case closed.

  • Whoa! This went WAYYYY too fast. There's plenty of knowledge here but the issues are: 1. You're actually talking too fast. Slow it down, relax, repeat the concepts a few times. 3. Show visually onscreen (printed overlay) what you are doing with each step. 4. Anticipate questions that students will have and answer them along the way. For example, when you say that something works with "any seventh chord" are you talking about major, minor and dominant sevenths or just dominant?

  • I hope teaching is not your day job, because you suck at it. You just flew through it at the speed of light and didn't bother to explain anything.

  • Too fast?...naaww...

  • this was informative and understandable. thank you

  • You are going way too fast!! Like many teachers I have had, you teach at your understanding level, not the student's. This is the problem with education in general today.

  • This is great and very helpful. Thank you very much.

  • too fast
