Here we have a Microsoft Surface connected to a Okidata dot-matrix printer using a standard Belkin USB to Parallel cable.

Nothing special was done to the Okidata printer other than the USB to Parallel cable being used. The printer has been sitting on a self for who knows how many years. My buddy and I thought it would be cool to see if the Surface PC as it is running Windows RT would detect the USB adaptor cable and if so could it print to this ancient workhorse of a printer. Sure enough it did!!

I apologize for the video quality and shaky cam this is my first YouTube video taken with my Samsung Focus S.

Imagine when people in an office had to hear multiple printers like this going all day.

No wonder, surface takes up so much disk space if it supports THIS!!!
