Holborn Viaduct station, shortly before its closure to enable the new City Thameslink station to be built beneath it.
@ 3:00 train departs for Blackfriars
@ 5:08 London Transport museum in 1989, where the FRM1 rear-engined Routemaster and other vintage buses were shuttling between Covent Garden & Aldwych stations.
@ 7:48 King's Cross Thameslink station (now disused)
@ 11:27 Inter City hybrid trains passing Alexander Palace station (Electra one end + HST 125 other end) diverted via Hertford loop line

  • @class37100 No sorry, except I have an old audio cassette recording of a 2epb in the 80's (and many other classes too) but there's no picture, just sound.

  • I still work in offices on Holborn Viaduct and ocassionally used to take trains from this station to Peckham where I would change for a train from Victoria going to Lewisham. I well remember the railway crossing over Fleet Street and used to like to look up Ludgate Hill at St Paul's.
