@RWT683 Totally true!!! I am an English teacher and the students always say it correctly whereas Americans don't.
-
Ahh, I know what you mean.
But in this case, it might be deliberate too, because his character in this movie, Hani, the jordanian intelligence chief, does not have english as his native language. The actor do, but his character don't.
-
@drogin88 That's understandable, because of the influence of American media. Certain mistakes are so common now they are becoming standard. Besides, I know English is almost a second native language in Scandinavia. My comment was just out of frustration that many people who learned English as a second language actually speak it better than educated Americans.
-
That depends. I'm Norwegian, and fairly competent in English, and I've learned it in school for like 8 years, but it's not my native language, and sometimes when I speak english with people, I catch my self doing mistakes like saying "If I was you".

love haniii

How could they cut this scene? Hani owned this movie.
-
This scene is totally unauthentic, because any foreigner who has studied English would have said "if I WERE you", whereas this is clearly a movie script written by an illiterate American.
-
I love the snap at 1:23.
Meeting over, lol!
