The Railway Touring Company was running a Steam Charter train to Newquay with double headed steam. Sadly one of the engines developed a fault which meant it had to be taken off at Newton Abbott. Western Champion was on stand by at Laira and was sent to bring the train down to Par. At least the train did get over the Brunel bridge with one steam engine! Here it is passing through Saltash station with a very late charter about 1H 45Mins late.
