  • One one hand: FUCK the Airlines. They should be forced to accommodate whoever the fuck, and for one ticket per customer. So the CEO of American will make 9 million this year instead of 11 million.

On the other hand, I'm kinda skeptical of this fat acceptance movement. I'm as liberal as they come, but FA just smacks of this twisted self-esteem obsession that George Carlin pointed out has made everyone into overgrown children in this country.

  • Are responsible of what? Why should they justify their looks? It's absurd.

  • Well if you need to super size your seat, then you need to pay the super size price.

  • If they increase the size of the seats, then the airline loses money and increases the price of seats for everybody, so we are all paying for obese people. If someone is obese enough to need two seats, then they should get used to paying more, because they are going to have some expensive medical problems down the road.

  • I can fit myself and my baby in one set comfortably... No one hands me an extra frikin seat! I eat right and work out so I'm not obese, no excuses! Don't take it out on the thin people- were not paying for your extra seat because everyones afraid to hurt your feelings and make you buy an extra seat!

  • umm, it's a plane. pretty limited space. bigger seats = less aisle space = everyone hates you. smaller seats = you spilling over into my space = everyone hates you. there's a simple solution. limit your personal consumption. i know, in america that's heresy.

  • "It's not our fault, it's the SEAT'S FAULT"

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know that it was the Airlines fault that you're too fat.

You don't blame the hammer for hiting your finger.

  • this kate harding woman is a stupid bitch. the airlines should be held accountable? no! lose some goddamn weight!

  • @Sereena111 ......The majority, however, are fat because they eat too much shit and/or spend too much time at the computer and/or playing video games and/or watching tv. If you disagree, you are ignorant, completely deluded, and most likely FAT!

  • @Sereena111 No, I really believe that fat is caused from undereating and/or too much exercise. So this is my message to you americans, stop exercising and let's make sure we eat a lot, preferably at places like KFC.

On a more serious note, while of course overeating and/or laziness is not the sole problem, it is by far the MAJOR problem. And this trend of attributing your fatness to some medical condition has got to stop. Yes there are some fat people because of their medical condition........

  • Wrong. The CEO of American will still make 11 million. Thin passengers will have to subsidize the fat people who need 2nd seat free of charge.
