Note: NO SIM is needed to unlock the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Options
3) Go to Device
4) Go to Advanced system Settings
5) Go to Sim Card
6) Type on the keybord: MEPD
7) HOLD ALT and type: mep2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
8) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press trackpad to confirm and your phone is unlocked!

    No, it will not work on Verizon network.

  • Verizon BBs come with a sim. WIll it work for them? Sorry, Not computer savy.

  • If sprint does have the sim card then no point of unlocking the phone , we unlock the phone to use with other sim card .

  • Sprint doesn't have simcard... can this work for sprint?
