"Talkh o Shirin" (meaning "Bittersweet" in Persian)

This dance depicts the notion that life is made up of opposing forces and without one, the other does not exist.

This piece was performed by Shahrzad Dance Academy (SDA), a California based Persian dance company in the U.S., founded by Shahrzad Khorsandi in 1996.

SDA performs both locally and internationally at various events such as cultural festivals, weddings, school & library educational programs, and formal concerts.

Choreography by Shahrzad Khorsandi
Performed in 2006 by SDA Company members Rebekah Fessenden and Alison Weir
