Poor van!
-
@kwacz Every time a buy a battery with low cold craking amps, it cant start the car in winter. If I buy the most cold cranking amp batter, its starts every time. However in a 4 cylinder car, it might not matter.
-
those batteries would barely crank my truck but they do make great jump starting batteries.
-
@kwacz but if next winter will get colder than ever - your friend will be the lucky guy. Thats why you can buy light (&small) batteries for sports-cars (for use only at summer on the race-track)
-
that is the most impressive thing i've ever seen you do
-
@kwacz and you could be saying this because you messed up. Sooner or later somebody will bust out your window to find out for sure.

Yeah rite LOL

in this 6 cylinder, it doesnt really matter because i have started this vehicle in 0 deg f weather with a 18ah agm battery (most often used in jump start kits. but i replaced the vehicle battery with the 18ah agm just for a test. it worked, but struggled a bit.

Why u did this?

@ASHMIR91 to prove to a friend that cold cranking amps isnt that critical. he always bought the battery that had super high ratings and spent over 100 when a 65 dollar battery would work just fine in his 4 cylinger car. My van is a v6 292hp

How will these batteries stand up to constant use in a vehicle?
member57 1 year ago
it wont last as long because it is undersized (puts hard strain on batt to strart vehicle and charging voltage in a car is 14.4 the charge voltage of an agm batt is 14.0
