Plans Moving Forward for a Waterfront Park at the County Administration Center

Supervisor Ron Roberts shows us some exciting new plans for the county's downtown location. The huge asphalt parking lots at the historic County Administration Center are about to become history themselves. Both the north and south lots are to be replaced with park space, forming a new Waterfront Park. The Askew building, currently standing in the north lot, will also be demolished. A new off-site multi-level parking garage and limited underground parking on the CAC grounds will make up for the loss of spaces. Construction could begin in late 2011.
