  • BTW...I'm not talking about counterfeit medications ....just clothing , parts and so on...

  • So you are telling me that the lady sitting in china that is making these fake handbags so she can make some money and bring food on her table to feed her children is bad ? Or the guy who buys it from her and sells it to somebody else and makes money so he can pay his mortgage so his family is got a place to stay is bad ?

There is more good from counterfeit then bad and these horror stories she's talking about are maybe 1 percent , there are 99 percent positive things comming from replicas !

  • The sale of counterfeit pharmaceutical drugs is actually helping to fuel the current drug crimes going on in South America, since these counterfeit drugs are much more profitable than even cocaine and can be brought into America easily.

Pretty much in every case, the sale of counterfeit goods whether they be purses, drugs, automobile parts, clothes, ect give money to bad people. Terrorists, drug lords, sweat shop owners all profit from counterfeit sales. So yes, fake bags are a real problem.

  • She's calming and has a good mission. I am gonna rent the book!

  • Nike uses sweat shops as well!!

  • What a lie People !

So according to this weird lady , if you buy a knock off you are supporting all the bad people in the world ???

Maybe this lady needs to pay more attention to the real problems like all the drugs comming in from South America and her own president destroying our beautiful country

I realy think that people like her need to wake up and get a life, knock offs will always be around that's fact, buying it doesnt make you go crazy and kill or do whatever , drugs however do!

  • This lady is not very intelligent to say the least...

  • Pay attention, not once was 9/11 mentioned.

And she doesnt support the corporations, she makes it a point that big designers think counterfeiting is great, almost a compliment to their success. People also need 2 realize that big corps do use "sweatshop" labor, but counterfeiters use child labor, major difference. buy a pair of real nikes, you support nike and contracted workers. You buy a pair of fakes, your are supporting ? and tossing a few pennies at an orphan with no basic human rights.

  • I'm going to have to take edbrown's side on this. To mention international terrorism and seldom say anything about organised crime makes her message incredibly overwrought.

  • I agree with edbrown... both the real thing and the knockoffs are made in sweatshops... Who makes the money is almost irrelevent. And, besides that, she could at least give some emotional inflection... or even, tell these stories from memory, rather than keeping her face shoved in her book. I don't like listening to people read out of their own books... If you wrote it, you should be able to tell the story without reading it off line for line in that monotonous drone.
