Another 16th Century 'Playford' English country dance tune. Accordion - Edward Jay (http://www.EdwardJay.co.uk), Violin - Fiona Barrow. 'Maggot' in this sense actually means 'ear worm', a 16th century term of endearment for a catchy tune. Special thanks to Chris Baker, owner of Woodland Memorial (Alveston, Bristol) for the use of his fabulous chapel.

you should try the shrewsbury lasses or the bridge over the river ash ( not to be confused with the film )

Are you actually based in Bristol? We would really like to know how much you charge to play for a Playford Ball (In Suffolk), but it's in March and we see you were touring this March. This is for the 2nd Saturday in March 2011.
Can;t get the website to work at all. Have tried 3 different browsers on 2 difrferent computers :(

This is a beautiful treatment of this simple but haunting tune. I have heard it several times as melodeon type tune -you give it a kind of courtly dance feel and you definitely bring something new to it . Excellent playing both
All the best
