I visited Englewood for the first time in Feb/11 so I don't know what it was like prior to the US economic collapse. I actually ended up buying a house there as a vacation home As a Canadian it was too good to pass up). I thin Englewood is an awesome town. it's got all you need and has a great beach. My only complaint is the comments I hear when I'm there about tourists. I see bumper stickers about shooting tourists. pretty sad.

@DonnaSawicki If you lived here full time, you'd hate tourists too. When you're late for work and trying to get there quick, the last thing you'd want is some tourist driving like an asshole in front of you. Englewood/Sarasota is the WORST for idiot drivers from the north. Where I live now is much better, no tourists at all.

@dragasoni ..WWaa..lol...west coast..I dont like North port,or cape corral..revenue Nazi code enforcement and snow bird neighbors that call them for having a boat or trailer on your driveway in a world record holding boating community with the most boatable canals in the world..THATS DUMB ASS SHIT!!! and I dont play those games.Thats why I left Chicago to move to Ocala..But now I want to boat better places..And the inner coastal and barrier islands look awesome on the south west coast.Idont fish

Great job on these vids..I live in Ocala...Its hit but not like these towns..I want to move here for the cheap property and the great boating...Sarasota and Bradenton a crime riddled crap if your buying anything under 100k The neighborhoods suck,,I was looking at North Port but thay are greedy Ass holes with the code enforcement and its all over Youtube...portCharlotte looked O.K. but I want to be on the west side (closer to the water) and those are not as easy to find..So I am looking here.

@DonnaSawicki I also pay about $2000 in property tax, employ a landscaper and spend lots of money locally when I'm there. So, I'm sorry if I drive too slow for you but i all the tourists left the locals would have no jobs to go to.
