A ride aboard Winnipeg Transit 1988 MCI - Motor Coach Industries "Classic" #321 on route 22 powered by the Detroit Diesel 6V71N engine and the Allison V731 transmission. Only 34 of these were purchased by Winnipeg Transit and were aquired in 1988 as #'s 301-334 and were some of the last MCI Classics to be delivered with the Detroit Diesel 6V71N engines - if not THE last ones.

  • FINALLY! It's great to have a video of a Winnipeg Classic, even if theirs are slowpokes. By the way, it's actually a TC40102N, not A, since it has no A/C. I'm sure it was a simple mistake you made.

  • I guess you just have to be patient with them. They're very good buses.

  • @knightclassic1 - Hard to say exactly. But they should be around at least another year I would think.

  • @supermattymattywg How long are they going to have them for until retirement? Those are my favorites!

  • @knightclassic1 - Yep that's correct. However a couple of them have had their vents sealed now too.

  • @busrailfan The 10 of them with Vents on them are from Connecticut Transit, appears to be an 1990 MCI Classics.

  • Love this, Sounds just like Toronto TTC's 1987 Classics (Retired early 2009)

  • Powerful buses, specialy during the winter months. Just one problem....I am 6'2 and my knees would get squashed-up into the METAL backing of the seats on most of these buses. At least now you don't have to climb stairs to get onto the newer buses. But, these retro buses are higher up for better veiw! :) The best of both buses.

  • @supermattymattywg - Yep for MCI's that actgually have those vents. Calgary has 117 MCI's, only 10 of which actually have the vents you describe.

  • @supermattymattywg - They were pretty nice riding buses too.

  • Awesome yall! I love these buses.

  • So true.
