Wireless@SG is a government funded effort to provide wireless internet access throughout various areas in Singapore. Users can enjoy free, both in-door and outdoor seamless wireless broadband access with speeds of up to 512kbps at most public areas.

The authorities need to understand that it is not just providing the service to the public. It also need to look into the maintenance of the infrastructure at the various hotspots.
I tried to connect at Tanjong Pagar Community Centre but access into the network was painful. I am sure the settings on my computer and handphone are correct. Problem could lie in wireless router. Approaching staff at the Community Center was of no use because there are no technical support staff there to look after the maintenance of the network.
I've already emailed to the authorities. Hopefully they respond and fix the problem.

Have to agree that they are missing the point about free wireless. It is badly maintained at many areas. Check out my video response to this.
