@djcondra The R3 is ok, personally I have the R3 and Radias they are ok, "analog" take that easy, good balance price/product but don't pretend sounds like a Moog, Andromeda or even a Roland V-synth, sounds and works like a $500 synth.

Korg R3 has teeth. The filters grip your eardrums like sandpaper. Fucking wonderful. Alesis/AKAI is glassy and thin. R3 is a dark horse. An unsung hero.
