A September 1964 Hit for Matt Monoe which stayed in the charts for 20 weeks reaching no 4.
Although I cannot now find the interpretation of the words of the song. I remember it being the love of a much younger person for an older man. Hence the words
"Walk away, please go
Before you throw your life away
A life that I could share for just a day
We should have met some years ago
For your sake I say
Walk away, just go.

@Anthony42ly Hello. Thank you for your comment. I think I may have to take a leaf out of Taioo's book and play some tunes from the Computer Games business. This seems to be the one making the most views. The only trouble is for me, is that the tunes have no depth or emotion to them they are just like many of the songs of the era. I call them pop rap. But then that is most probably because I am a generation too far removed from the current musical scene.
