Here's the official music video for Paperdoll's "If Nothing Happened." You may have heard it in a recent Dayquil commercial.

The footage (all public domain) was compiled by Richmond Chaisiri, Mathew Pulling, and myself, Darius Hill.

The video was also directed and edited by me. As you can see, I go by the handle "D Scott." hehe

Big thanks to everyone who liked the video.

  • i thought the other popart video was theirs

  • It is. That one kinda replaced this one.

A little while after this one was made, they decided that it'd be better to show themselves more. It's often good to able to put a face to the music.

  • Really great collaboration, I throughly enjoy this song, and the film collage was great, what movies did you use? I'll be checking out your other music paper! :)

  • We went so many movies I barely even remember. I wish we had written it down. Off the top of my head I know we used: Metropolis Frady Cat cartoons (plus misc. cartoons) Creature From the Haunted Sea The Giant Gila Monster The Killer Shrews Gamera vs. Guiron Gumbasia A few Gumby shorts Various old commercials In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
  • this is the scariest video i had to encounter in my life!?!?! i mean what is it about!?!? @#&%

  • The concept began as kids calling forth giant monsters to destroy the world. Basically something to contrast the idea of "nothing happening." The end product resulted in something much more abstract with a very loose narrative.

  • Good video, i knew this song sounded familiar

    :]

  • Why, because they both use power chords at some point. You will find that more bands than Green Day use power chords. Now, go back to not enjoying "Tony Hawk Ride"

  • Am I the only one who finds her voice pretty similar to Gwen's???

  • Beautiful pop song in the same light as the Submarines' "You, Me, and the Bourgeouise." Cute song.

  • Thanks to our consumer culture I am now aware of this song. Thanks Vicks! XD
