  • "Copyright" ... I don't get it. Furthermore, I refuse to get it. If my ideas are unbelievably similar to someone else's ideas, what makes someone else's manifestation of their ideas more-worthy than my manifestation of them ... whatever.

But about the other thing, about 'shutting down whole sites in "emergencies".' 1)Like I said above, ideas are very viral;2)(and I don't agree with this) ideas that look like they might put hazards in the road to the High White Tower are deemed cancerousCUTIT!

  • @mythmanjay "what makes someone else's manifestation of their ideas more-worthy than my manifestation of them"

It's true that lots of creative people have 90% of the same concepts floating around in their heads & just don't bother going that extra 10% and officially claiming it... Problem is, whatever justice you may impose by scrapping copyright altogether, would be vastly outweighed by the number of individuals who'd surely abuse their new found "privileges" & find ways to profit off of them.

  • @AntiBullshitMan I see how that seems fair in the 'un-enlightened' version of /Quid-pro-Quo/ (which sees 'this for that' as meaning "Somethin` come ta` ME when I spend MY time making somethin`"). I guess I'm used to the enlightened version, which doesn't exactly 'equate with' /Quid-pro-Quo/---something like 'something good from me means more goodness comes from me (especially if you give me good stuff)'

  • Unfortunately, most people (especially those who spend lots of time downloading music/shows/movies) aren't even content with the unenlightened version, they simply want something for nothing, with the enlightened version (which if you've seen the movie can simply be referred to as "Pay it forward") not even entering the equation.

I should add that I'd scrap all copyright claims for inventions of which the inventor has retired/died. Or I'd just ball park a 25-30 year deadline on all claims...

  • "alway raw raw about gov intervention"

And no I'm not *always* "raw raw gov intervention", not by any rational standards in the rest of the world. I'm just capable of accepting the reality of the fact that private charity has never been able to accommodate the basic needs of the least amongst us anywhere near to the extent of a proper functioning gov't system. Look up the standards of living for the lower class before FDR's social programs, then read up on deregulation & the financial sector.

  • But what makes your comment truly amusing is your own lack of consistency:

"gov is not nor ever will ever be capable of being a pro active force for anything"

For ANYTHING! Yet you immediately go on to say:

''Gov needs to stick to protecting boarders & not letting us kill each other''

You JUST SAID gov't can't do anything right, yet you advocate gov't monopolies on boarder control, police & the judiciary system. Why doesn't your faith in markets extend to these services as well? I wonder...

  • So if i rob a bank and take a public bus home will the unknowing driver of the bus now go to jail as an accessory? Will everyone else on the bus go to jail also? This has to be a brain child of a neocon. Oh what i would give for that old time conservative mentality in the republican party to come back. You know the mentality where the constitution was an idea not just a bunch of words to be undermined by trickery of legal language or other such shenanigans.

  • if that law get's legislated internet is going to slowly die like tv is... they hate the fact internet is giving people freedom... that's all this is about.. not going to rant about it tho..

  • @MRM4Truth

I said ""he's too "noble" for that"" as a quirky play on words, since I had just quoted market boy's misspelling of the word/name nobel.

It's also meant to be a jab at him taking everything his people say as gospel while instantly dubbing everything the overwhelming majority of experts have to say, as "teh keynsian propaganda lol".

  • @AntiBSMan Why would you imply Fruedman bought his noble prize. Friedman was one of the brightest minds in modern History.

  • @VampiressOnDaProwlq Possibilty 1# It was a typo and you mispelled his name

#2 (and I might add the most likely) His channel was flagged over and over again by Neo con libertarian right wing fascists because they did not like progressive propaganda. I heard they've been going after a lot of channels that promote the Wisconsin labor rights movements. Its sad its almost like when they tried to shut down civil rights demonstrations in the 60s the difference is instead of firehoses they flag them

  • you look like a mischievous boy up to no good trying to look innocent on your vid thumbnail lol
