It is a pain to use manual case trimmers when you need to trim large amount of cases. I've created this video just to give an idea how you can speed up the process. In my case I use Forster case trimmer, Forster 3-in-1 case mouth cutter and Forster power adapter.

  • How does the power adapter attach to the mandrel? I'm looking into a case trimmer, and even on Forster's site they really don't show how their adapter is put together. Is the power adapter just a longer mandrel to chuck into a drill, or is it a seperate shank that screws into the mandrel? I'm not that familar with the Forster trimmer. Does the entire crank detach from the mandrel?

  • @imakerux1 You unscrew crank handle and screw in the adapter onto the shaft and chuck adapter into a drill.

  • How do you know how far to trim the case? Thats the only thing I never understood about case trimming.

  • @deepwater1974 You seat case all the way in in the collet. On the back side of the cutter shaft holder there is a ring that you adjust how deep the shaft goes in.

  • @deepwater1974 If you mean what case lenght should be, then you look up particular case dementions in the reloading manual.

  • after you'r done are there any sharp edges on the case mouth

  • @cemaku Cutter does a very good trim. It is smooth and no deburring or chamfering is needed. My cheap Lee chamfering/deburring tool does much worst job.
