Gabrielle: How could you think that I would stoop so low to something like shoplifting?
Woman: Um, because you stole the dress?
Bo: Gabrielle, I'd like for you to take a look at something.
Gabrielle: Of course, Bo, I'm here to help in any way, heh. Well, what -- what in heaven's name is that doing up there? That's my outfit! What's it doing up there?
Bo: You know, I knew this looked familiar to me.
Gabrielle: Well, I don't know how it -- wait a minute. Wait a minute, I took my outfit to the thrift shop at St. James!
Bo: Really?
Gabrielle: Oh! Oh, she must have bought it there, and now she's trying to sell it as an original. Well, that tells you what sort of store this is. This is fraud Bo, if you're going to arrest someone, you need to arrest her. How much are you selling my outfit for? What do you have to say for yourself?
Woman: Is she going to try to plead not guilty by reason of insanity?
Bo: Oh, I don't know. You say that you took this outfit to the thrift store at St. James?
Gabrielle: Yes, it's one of the ways I like to show my devotion, give my old clothes away to the church.
Bo: Yeah, now you're sure that you weren't wearing this outfit when you came in here?
Gabrielle: Positive.
Bo: You sure you didn't pull the ol' switch-a-roo?
Gabrielle: Bo, why are you having such a hard time believing me?
Bo: I'm having such a hard time believing it, because everything that happened in here was captured on that surveillance camera. Shall we go to the video tape?
---
Bo: I'm gonna need the video tape.
Woman: It's all yours.
Gabrielle: All right, all right, all right, all right, Bo. But I really, really needed this dress.
Bo: You needed it?
Gabrielle: You know I've been wearing the same clothes since Asa threw me out! I had to borrow your sweater to keep warm, for Pete's sake! Bo, this dress just had a certain... caliber to it.
Bo: Hmm. And you needed a dress of this caliber... because?
Gabrielle: Because I needed to look my best. I had to present myself in the best way for the best sort of job.
Bo: This could get you a job?
Gabrielle: Well, no, it didn't work. But it might have worked! It's for Al, you know his medical bills are mounting, and I'm a single mother, and I'm trying to pay for these bills any way that I can!
Bo: All right, all right, okay, okay, let's just, just save the melodrama, okay? Let's stick to facts right now. You stole the dress.
Gabrielle: I'll give it back. I'll buy it. Whatever you want! Whatever you want me to do, I'll do it, it's just please don't -- don't arrest me for thievery, please, please, please. It'll never happen again, I promise you! I swear!
Bo: Ma'am, how much is the dress?
Woman: Four thousand dollars.
Gabrielle: Uh, well, I might have to borrow the money, or work it off.
Woman: Oh, not in this store.
Bo: Ah. The lady used bad judgment, but now she's, ah, ugh, she's paying for the dress. So, is that okay with you? No charges?
Woman: Okay.
Gabrielle: Bo, thank you! Ooh! Sorry.
Bo: I'm going to give you one more chance, Gabrielle. One. If you ever pull anything like this again --
Gabrielle: I swear, I swear, I swear, I swear I won't!
Bo: Well, you know what? That better be true. For your sake.
Gabrielle: Bo, I'll pay you back! I promise I'll pay you back everything! And, I'm... I'll pay you! Because I've got something big, big I'm working on. My proverbial ship is going to come in. Boy, it's going to be a big one, heh.
My favorite part is when he asks the store-owner if he can have the security tape. You know, for his personal collection. ;D

Gabrielle's story about how her outfit got there is classic.
