The Damage reports suggest this is an EF5 Tornado! Extensive Damage has been reported in Western and Northern Birmingham, Alabama! Buildings have been leveled! This Tornado was over one mile wide! This same Tornado caused Extensive damage in Tuscaloosa, Alabama also! The final NWS rating of this Tornado was an EF4 but I still think the damage suggests a rating of an EF5. No one is perfect and although the NWS service does a great job I think they should have rated this tornado an EF5. The Weather Channel did an EXCELLENT job capturing and reporting this Tornado! They are on top of their game!

  • Thanks to Channel 26 News in New Orleans and WeatherNation for asking me if they can air my New Storm vidoes of Tropical Storm Lee on the News and their website! I had request like this a few years back also on my Hurricane Gustav video! WeatherNation is going to do a National News Segment with my videos! I would love to work as a News Anchor covering these storms! Maybe someone will contact me about this soon? Upbeat and Exciting coverage I will provide! Weather Channel? <3 Thanks!

  • hey Charles - what station did you record this off of?

  • @StormChasersonDiscov My friends at the Weather Channel. They are doing an amazing job covering and forecasting these Tornadoes! Capturing a huge LIVE Tornado on T.V is quite an accomplishment! They know what they are doing!

  • @broly246810 Obligatory "That's what she said".

  • @omtomt8787 It was high end EF4 and nearly rated EF5, but it just didn't have that little extra bit to push it over that threshold so it remained EF4.

  • @omtomt8787 whoops I had a typo there. Your right it was a ef4. Tried to say high end ef4.

  • i think everyone assumed it was going to be rated ef5 including me untill the official rating came out

  • since 1950 there have been 58 f-5/ ef-5 tornadoes, i can name them all. in fact there were 6 ef-5 tornadoes in 2011, the tuscaloosa tornado was not one of them, it was an ef-4. <-------nothing but facts here, im a weather freak

  • Respond to this video... EF-4, EF-4 EF-4, how many times can i say this

  • @topthrilldragster20 so many people dont know what theyre talking about, an ef5 starts at 200 mph, and it was rated an ef4

  • @Hurrican3AJ1 ummmm, shows how much u know, the estimated winds were under 200 mpl, dont take my word for it, check it out urself, it was rated an ef4, the joplin tornado was rated an ef5 w estimated winds around 235-260 and killed way many more people and leveled many more strustures. but like i said dont take my word for it, look it up urself.

  • @thghs801 LOOK SORRY I DONT SPELL CHECK AND AT THIS MOMENT I WAS HELPING TO PULL BODIES OUT OF RUBBISH ASSHOLE

  • @brebre10291996 We have had outbreaks this bad in Alabama before... but the last two happened before either you or I were born.... April 3, 1974 and March 21, 1932. Glad to see that you and your family are okay. I was "driving" the radar at FOX 6 that day.... I'm still trying to mentally deal with what happened.
