tanks are as you say 1000 years behind mechs no reason not to think that we as a speices could not come up with something better than tanks is not only sad but a huge four leged mech would be just as heavy and would persent the same if not more problems

This isn't a real mech....
....
it's a target, only a fucking slow target, slow in movement and in moving the torso... a MadCat Mk2 piloted by a real pilot can quickly destroy it's big armor plate and avoid it's weapons due to MC2 speed
