O come, O come, Emmanuel! Redeem thy captive Israel That into exile drear is gone, Far from the face of God's dear Son.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, thou Branch of Jesse! draw The quarry from the lion's claw; From the dread caverns of the grave, From nether hell, thy people save.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, thou Dayspring bright! Pour on our souls thy healing light; Dispel the long night's lingering gloom, And pierce the shadows of the tomb.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O Come, thou Lord of David's Key! The royal door fling wide and free; Safeguard for us the heavenward road, And bar the way to death's abode.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, Adonai, Who in thy glorious majesty From that high mountain clothed in awe, Gavest thy folk the elder Law.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

Have we all gone so mad that the very essence of our existance we praise, one calls a bunch of 2 face fuckers?Has the very essence of the spirituality of what is sung not given you even an ounce of humble smallness to he that gave you life?

I think you're preaching to the choir. Why don't you ask jayme198327, the person who was kicked out of it?

I had been very rude to someone. Very unlike me. I came to this piece of music to wash myself of that anger. And so it was. Beautiful rendition. Thank you. Shalom & Merry Christmas to all of Goodwill.

This beautifully performed hymn ought to be the hope of every Christian thoughout the world. And as we do our best to be a reflection of God's light in the world, may our hearts pray the words of St. John, 'Even so come Lord Jesus' .

Yeah, I'm atheist but I've always found a lot of things religion creates beauty, like the sound of church choirs, this song especially. <3

I am an atheist, and I will not deny the beauty of this piece, nor ever would for any religious piece of music.

I'm absolutely not religious, and definitely not Christian (the thing that gets nearest would probably be a mix of various Pagan religions), this song is beautiful and touching though, and I love it. That once again proves that music crosses over all borders, of time, ethnicity, religion, race, language, culture... and maybe that's one of the many, many reasons I love music so much.
