Why sympathize? He didn't work all night(Comcast only makes house calls during the day). It's unacceptable to sleep when you have to work, but inside someone's home is abhorrent! He could've done his job before napping, but instead of being professional, he chose to treat these people like a free motel room.

He got what he deserved. I hope he's found the error of his ways and isn't off being drunk on the job. But I doubt it.

If there is a problem with over scheduling it is the responsibility of the techs and MANGLEMENT to address such issues . It is not the customers problem that the company over works their employees.

Why would I want to bother whoever that person was whether I agree with them or not just because I was late to the party? And I'm not perfect, no one is, but I wouldn't expect any special treatment by failing at a job that's apparently too hard for any mortal man to do. So what? Get another job if it sucks. Do you know how many people have lost their jobs over less? Or because of outsourcing?

Oh, and you must be Mr. F-ing Perfect? He's not an air traffic controller...he's an installer. Him falling asleep once is not worth his livelihood. If he gets fired, he may to have to apply to government assistance and look for another job (a waste of tax payers' money) and as a result his children will have to suffer while he looks (if he finds another one as good). Erase your comments before they become 2 years old if you don't want any additional responses.

FYI, Comcast has an on call system. If he was on call the night before, then he possibly could've been up to God knows when.

Why sympathize? Are you serious, lol? He went to sleep while waiting on Comcast dispatch (you can wait for more than 30 minutes for someone to answer). This is SERIOUSLY not worth having your livelihood taken away. He didn't commit a crime or violate any safety rules. I'm sure you've fallen asleep ONCE in your life when you shouldn't have.

he does $5 per visit +use his own vehicle & pay his gasoline....

Recently a comcast technician had a heart attack while in a customers house 2 years earlier another tech had a heart attack while up a telephone pole
