They will turn red, but they also lose much of their water and shrivel up. I like to keep them on the plant if possible. Thanks for watching!

And here in Nürnberg, Germany, we have fresh snow covering everything. My SFG is hibernating but under a couple of plastic cloches I have some tiny lettuce seedlings sticking their heads up, in spite of the extra horse manure which I mixed in. I was afraid there'd be too much nitrogen, but it appears I was wrong. What a relief. Thanks for the videos - they're a real inspiration, as ever.

I just watched all the videos and it's all settled. I'm gardening on my balcony. I live in a high rise in Chicago and I have to try it out. When there is a will there is a way. Thank so much for the inspiring video. I am craving veggies for some reason. LOL Can't wait to see more videos. These were so much fun to watch. Thank you!!!!!!

I just watched all 22 parts...a very inspiring series. I can't wait until the second season. I've been thinking of using the SFG method for a garden in Maryland; I think I'll get the book.
I've also been thinking of adapting some of the cold frame/tunnel ideas in Four-Season Harvest by Eliot Coleman. It seems like a natural fit: mini-"greenhouses" that fit over the SFG boxes. Coleman gets all kinds of produce year round in Maine. You could probably do wonders in Florida.
