A response to Poetry Task. This is from one of my favorite poets, an Uruguayan. Like most poetry, it loses something in translation. The music is from Argentina -- so I've got a Rio de la Plata theme going on . . .

  • Very nice :) I love it that my first contact with Benedetti is through a poem read by an English speaker in Spanish, with things I need to hear now.

A Paez ya lo conozco, y tambien me gusta - I'll subscribe, if you don't mind :)

  • Gracias. Mi casa es su casa. Bienvenida.

  • Hey I just got a tango cd by Adriana Varela and she's got a song with this poem. I just played it and your video at the same time to see if they matched and it was beautiful to hear you almost synchronized :)

  • wow - that is really cool. I'll have to track down that cd.

  • suprised I missed this one. I say this to captain Peppy on a daily basis, but I will hand this word your way today "HOTT" thats with 2 Ts. bear sometimes speaks spanish to me, and I melt. his favorite word is mo chilla... or mo- cheela.. anyway it means backpack, but it sounds really hot when spoken outloud. much love

  • Gracias senorita. Yo vivo solamente para hacerte deshelar.

I'll have to try whispering sweet backpacks into the ear of my next victim -- er, I mean, date.

  • That's a pretty good website you've got: it actually translated "beggars can't be choosers" to "don't look a gift horse in the mouth".

  • Uso sólo un inglés al sitio Web de traductor español, es fácil. Dudo que esto traduzca correctamente aunque pero sea lo mejor que yo tenga, a caballo regalado no le mires el dentado.

I'm just using an English to Spanish translator website, it's easy. I doubt it is translating properly though but it's the best I have, beggars can't be choosers.

  • En este caso, debes aprender espanol . . . no es tan dificil . . . o quizas, debes aprender ingles primero.

    :-)

  • Muy bueno, mucho gracias, No entendí una palabra que usted dijo. :)

    Pazma
