"I never saw so much expression in an inanimate thing before, and we all know how much expression they have!"

A very short animation I made for my Film and Lit course, adapting Charlotte Perkins Gilman's 'The Yellow Wallpaper'.

  • Very nice! I'm glad to see those stop-motion skills are coming handy!!! Did you shoot all of the growing vine stuff backwards? It's really well done!

  • Thanks!

  • Hazel, this is fantastic. How did you get the leaves to unfurl like that?! It looks so smooth and effortless! Keep up the good work, you will go faaaaaaaaar in the life, far and well. :-) x Anna F

  • Thanks! I made the leaves unfurl by filming them backwards. I would fold or cut them down a little bit each frame then run the sequence backwards so it looks like it was growing. I ended up destroying most of the set!
