The Parkflyers RC Corsair F4U is a 100% scale representation of the U.S. marines landbased version that came into service in july 1942 during WW2. The Corsair F4U was also nicknamed the Sweetheart of Okinawa and the whistling death by the japanese, partly because of the engine sound, that was caused by the wing-root inlets for engine air. It had nearly a 11-1 kill ratio over all other wwii allied planes. No wonder since it was the first proped fighter to exceed 400mph with a full load of weaponry. It seen service till the end of the Korean war.

The Parkflyers RC Corsair is a modular foam construction with a one piece wing that is held in place with two screws, no rubberbands to ruin the looks of this scale beauty. It comes as a Ready to Fly model with a 4 channel F.M. 72mhz radio. Also included is a nice adjustable rate lipo ac balancing charger and a 11.1v 1300mah lipo this along with the 1200kv brushless outrunner motor and scale 3 blade prop provides plenty of thrust. This plane also requires no glueing, the tail fins are held in place with five screws. The very scale looking rudder and steerable tail wheel have no exposed control surfaces keeping the lines very smooth. The cockpit is finished off nicely, just add a pilot for a really scale look, which can be done very easily. The scale look is carried on to the landing gear and the engine cowling with its realistic engine insert
