@handyman6042 for starters mate, you spell shove s-h-o-v-e. secondly, like the other guy said, its for healthcare, transfer of property, tax, simply to have that warm bubbly feeling in your heart knowing that you've married the one you love. is that not why you (a presumably straight person) would get married? or would you do it to s-h-o-v-e it down the throat of your single friends, like so many straight people I know have done?

@mobius1tailwinds I have absolutely no idea what you mean by that. Are you implying that I am also a moron? Perhaps you could provide some evidence to back that statement up?
Honestly, I think you need some help with communication because I have no clue what you're trying to say to me right now.

@MrFkWhatever Comrade,Look who's talking

@Trcd3m what about the ones that believe in plural marriage?

Although rocket scientists are for equality, it's really not rocket science.

@handyman6042 Oh, well said handyman! Yes, homosexuals are seeking the right of marriage for no other reason than to piss Christians off. That's the most insightful observation I've seen in years!
It couldn't possibly have anything to do with legal rights pertaining to healthcare, transfer of property, taxation, or any of the other freedoms that heterosexual couples enjoy.
No, we gays only want to marry so that handymen like you can respond with YouTube rage.
Moral: You are a fucking moron.

There are all these bullshitters saying that marriage needs god. This isn't true. My father is an atheist, my mother is catholic. They didn't get married in church. Gay people aren't asking permission to get married in church, they're asking for a basic right that they are being denied from. Being gay isn't a choice. Just as being straight isn't a choice either. Don't alienate what you're scared of or don't know anything about.

I agree!
Did you hear that Prop 8 is going up to the supreme court soon? :)
Perfect.
Gays are not second-class citizens.
We CANNOT stand for "separate but equal" as Californians.
Imagine the people that Prop8 will hurt.

by the way 52.2% was a sad win. I mean prop 22 got 66%. Gays will have their rights its just a matter of time 60% of people from my generation said enough with discrimination and enough with bigotry. While people who believe that gays should be treated as equals have lost this battle we will win the WAR
