During Fall Break, members of Clemson University's chapter of Engineers Without Borders traveled to New Orleans to help with cleanup efforts there. This video shows pictures taken while we were gutting a house for an elderly woman (Ms. Audrey, the black woman in the video).

While much progress has been made since Katrina, the Gulf region is still in dire need of help, and the road to recovery is going to be long and hard. Please consider helping those in need in any way you can. Thank you.

  • is it still a mess like that or is evrything bck to normal?

  • All of the volunteer efforts have made progress little by little, but it's still far from being "back to normal." When we went, the people organizing the relief efforts estimated that it would be about a 10-year process before things finally started to look the way they did before Katrina.

That's why it's important that people keep volunteering even after the disaster stops showing up on the news; "out of sight, out of mind" is something that these people have really been struggling against.

  • Good job, I like what you did with the pictures

  • Thanks! :)
