Episode 16 -
David Stewart shows how ZFS, one of the latest features of OpenSolaris and Solaris 10, works on the latest Intel architecture (Nehalem microarchitecture exemplified in Intel Core i7 processors). Hear about optimizations like the new CRC32 instruction that gets really good speed ups for ZFS. For the latest OpenSolaris release, go to OpenSolaris.org, check out the Intel platform project and join the community.
