When I listen to Mahler's Adagietto and internalize the fact that he died at only 50, I lose my fear of dying. Who am I after all?

it is redolent of spring, summer, autumn, fall. Love and sorry happiness and guilt and so much more. The Crescendo is amazing.

Yada yada yada
Yes it is one of the most beautiful pieces in the world!
It reaches into the very depths of ones soul.
Yada Yada Yada! As George would say!

This was the theme to the film Death In Venice, used hauntingly in a film shot in a soft light reminiscent of a Watteau landscape. Starred Dirk Bogarde. Videoed it from TV once but lost the tape. Pity we don't get more of these but they are more of an Art Cinema genre so don't get a high popular rating I guess

who the hell is that random guy smiling

What does Jean-Marc Barr have to do with Gustav Mahler`s Adagietto?

Well, it is a long story. Me (Mare79, a "name" from the image) and Mayol (a friend of mine) have made these several classical music videos during the time we were on one forum. The picture of Jean-Marc Bar was the image of his avatar, and since all these videos were generally his idea, we decided to place a full photo of Jean-Marc on them. Jean-Marc had a role in one of his movies where he played a character named Mayol, so... It was just an idea at that time, but it still remained after all.
