truvativ gxp crank install. removal is very easy with the self extracting non drive side bolt. pull drive crank and unthread the bb cups

  • Why would you buy a BB that damaged lol?

  • @Jleagle lets just say it was cheap enough to make it worth it. i bought it along with a bunch of other stuff

  • look at how shitty the rear tire is

  • @reptilezs does the same go for the truvativ howitzer team bottom bracket with external bearings?

  • @dundas14 install is similar but the axle/spindle goes between the bb cups. refer the to instruction manual for more info. the park bbt 19 does not fit over the howitzer axle so you will need the truvativ brand tool or the park bbt9

  • @marinjohn you dont have to like get the rubber glove's on like the pro bike shop's just to give them a bit of attention, if you find out that your hope cups and bearings dont last to long then just buy a cheap pot of mtb grease lithium or so your bearings will thank you, would love to know how long the hope stuff lasts tho as i just bought one of the new hope headset. thanx muchly for the vids <3

  • @Vei2aC There is surely a lot of truth in what you say,and to be honest I am not great at cleaning and greasing....I recently installed Hope cups and bearings and am giving them the same lack of attention as I did with the Truvativ so will wait and see if they last longer...Will keep you posted..

  • @marinjohn peaty use's them if you look after all your moving part's bearing's ect thay will last alot longer than a couple of months, not to be big headed or so but i think alot of ppl woudl agree and somtimes you must spend money to save money and to have a good pot of grease sat on the shelf you cant go wrong

  • heya reptilezs i just wanted to ask what grease your useing it look's like two stroke oil ?!, i just wanted to recomend that you use proper bike grease you will be much better off and your component's will last for MUCH longer and run ALOT smoother, yeah it's cheap for normal oil but it's got difrent propatys i use finish line teflon grease it can be pricey but i would rather grease my pride and joy's with the proper stuff your bearings will love you forever after giving them a drink of teflon=]

  • The best part about this video are the negative comments ripping on everything from the rear tire of the bike to the tucked in shirt. This would actually be a decent video if at some point the camera looked at the bottom bracket and crankset instead of pointing all over randomly.

  • LMAO! Why is it haggard? BEAUTIFUL!

  • Truvativ bearings are pure muck...They will be worn after a couple of months....Save your money.

  • awesome crotch shot! and it looks like somone needs a friend to hold the cam -_-

  • mine have developed a creak. im sure its the cranks and bb and not the cassete or my frame. anybody else suffered this problem. ive tried regreasing them and torquing them to spec. only thing i haven't tried is torquing them more than the recomended torque.
