@FrodothePuppet All the circuit does nowadays is host Mexican NASCAR and Copa Turismo races AFAIK. BTW, I love this circuit so much, which is why I hated what they did to the Peraltada in this race. Even in the future races, they altered the approach to the Peraltada to slow the cars, which is terrible. We were deprived the sight of seeing these cars go ridiculously fast into and through Peraltada and then go 220+ mph on that superlong front straight. What a sight that would've been.
Does anyone know what is happening with the Autodromo Hemanos Rodriguez? Champ Car and A1GP are dead, and the Busch Series didn't return in 2010. Too bad there aren't any young Mexican drivers with serious backing for Indy Lights, or else IndyCar could come back. Juan Pablo Garcia and David Martinez managed a few Lights races this year, and Juan Piedrahita had a few good results in Star Mazda.
Bob Varsha, Derek Daly, Tommy Kendall, a few hundred thousand fans at a fabulously fast race track, and the sound of those engines. Even with Champcar in its weakest period it's a still a more compelling racing scene than what's being offered up nowadays.
