I love hahns macaws! They're like baby macaws that don't grow up and out of there cute stage! :D I am totally getting one when I have the money saved up! I hope he gets along with my other bird Alphie (cockatiel)! :)

Awwww... It's so cute! This makes me want a Hahn's Macaw. I actually saw a Hahn's Macaw yesterday on a leash in front of an ice cream store, and there were these little birds on the sidewalk that it was trying to talk with! And I must say it sounded rather like this one here. Do they all sound like that? It's cute. I have a Budgie, but it doesn't talk... Well actually it doesn't even let me hold it, so I was thinking about getting one of those when I moved. Cute vid!

Awwww....I've fallen in love with the Hahn's Macaw. No room for one now with the cockatiel and the green-cheek conure, but maybe someday when there's more space I'll see if one ends up at the local bird rescue. YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY, this made my day!!!

Although this is video is instant gratification owning a parrot certainly isnt. It takes ALOT of willpower to get the long term rewards. Do NOT buy a parrot if you cannot deal with children.

@crowdcontrol792 I agree with this comment wholeheartedly. I have a sun conure and have to say it's MUCH easier to have a "dumb" animal than an "intelligent" animal. Trying to keep my babe happy and engaged all the time is -HARD- and it gets expensive in time, money, and energy trying to find new toys or coming up with new ways to challenge them. When most people say "Oh I want a smart animal" my usual response to them is "no, no you don't. Trust me. You want a happy sweet dumb animal."

@BlazesStarGirl Don't buy a bird just because they're 'cute' or 'intelligent'. Birds can live a very long time, and are a great responsibility to take care of. Yes, they do make quite good companions, but in my opinion shouldn't be treated as pets as much as never growing children. They require great care but are very rewarding. Its a big responsibility to take care of a bird. I'd reccomend doing research before purchasing a bird of any kind. :)
