In another section of the Nashoba Valley Medical Center (Ayer, Massachusetts), we ride another Haughton Elevator, in what appears to be an addition not much older than the main hospital itself.
This has a very classic look to it, with the backlighting similar to older elevators, although when it approaches the ground floor, the panel with the buttons bulges outward, making a huge baniging noise (hence my reaction to it). What I didn't show, because it was busy, was the extreme classic leveling, which starts about 6 inches from level, and takes about 5 seconds to completely level off.
Yes. Ironic that Schindler owns them now.

Only issues:
(1) Door opens 6" above ground level, and takes 5 seconds to level off.
(2) Very loud bang when wall with panel bulges outward. Didn't translate on the camera too well.
It rides great. Two minor imperfections. The second one startled me, though. :)

Nice to see such a classic elevator in such pristine condition.
